New Moon hits theatres November 20. (Danni and I WILL wait to see it together!)
"They could probably get a talking chimp to direct, and it would still do well," says Weitz. Catherine Hardwicike, who directed Twilight, was replaced by Chris Weitz for the direction of New Moon. They needed someone who could handle the magnitude of the movie, which includes werewolves and a location shoot. "After the first movie was ridiculed for the scene in which Edward's skin is exposed to the sunlight and begins sparkling like he's in a weird body-lotion commercial," the sequel needed a director well versed in special effects. "Twilight was much more of a fight," says Stewart. "But New Moon is going to be so much better."
I didn't want to hear Taylor talking through the whole thing. I just wanted some New Moon sneaks. Which were conveniently Edward free. I do agree with everyone saying that the studia is trying to cram Jacob down our throats. It's not going to work. We made our choices three years ago when the book came out, and it's not going to change no matter how much shirtless Lautner you throw at us. It makes sense though, Taylor doing all the promotions. The kid actually speaks in complete sentences, so they're taking advantage of that. Unlike Roib and Kristen who just answer exactly what they're asked with no elaboration, mumble to the interviewers, laugh nervously, swear all the fucking time, and play with their hair. Not putting anyone down, I love them for their awkwardness, but now Summit actually has a "spokesman" so to say.
Suck it team Jacob! Okay, seriously, just look at the difference in the photoshoots! Edward wants to devour her. Meanwhile, Jacob and Bella are play fighting. Like brother and sister. Because that's what they are. Jacob never stood a chance. The funny thing is, the picture of E&B I chose, is intensly tame. I mean, there are photoshoots with them all over eachother. Epic fail, Jacob.
E&B all lovey dovey, Carlisle with Bella after Jasper's attack (Carlisle owns you), the dreaded break up scene. (Maybe the scen I am most looking foward to. I'm worried he won't say, "It will be as though I never exsisted," though because the trailer shows him saying, "This is the last time you'll see me.")
Bella and Jacob (I'm guessing pre-wolf), Laurant wanting to eat Bella. And in her meadow! Bella Alice, and Jacob taking direction. (This has to be the scene where Alice tells Bella that Edward has gone to Italy.)
Bella saves Edward this time around.
