New Gotham City, near Robinson Park, Thursday morning early
An early-morning jogger had found the body, and thought it was a homeless person. An old homeless person. But the I.D. tucked in the top of her stylish boots showed her to be Amy Lennox, age 21, despite the wrinkled skin and dehydration.
Detective Jesse Reese stepped outside of the crime-scene tape, and opened up his phone once he was out of earshot of the CS unit. "Barbara?... yeah. Another one. Same age, same method. Amy Lennox." He looked over as the ambulance left the scene with the body. "Find this guy for me. Before he finds another girl."
