'Dite's Suite, The Arms, Saturday

There were Alfred cookies, there was Beaver Buzz, coffee, tea, and little chocolates, and movies for watching.

All the things you need for a relaxing time with friends. If the friends aren't the sort to just... not relax.

[for two, but open for phone calls and texts to any of the three]

And Momoko had not had any Beaver Buzz, thank you. Despite the restless night caused by a dream where she was being chased through the snow in a one-of-a-kind dress by soaking wet animals towards a tree full of tea-drinking llamas asking her name over and over.

Yeeeeeah.

So all the bouncing Momoko was doing was pure Momoko. Well, and the Mr Alfred cookies. "Look look! I made a cookie sandwich!" Two cookies with a piece of chocolate in between.

"Ooooh," Karla said, immediately reaching out for a piece of chocolate to make a cookie sandwich of her own. "This is why we're friends, Momoko," she decided. "Because you have the best ideas."

Dinah snickered, nibbling one of the chocolate peanut-butter chip cookies and grinning big. "I'm going to tell Alfred you guys are trying to improve on his recipe. He'll be so proud." She reached for another Beaver Buzz, and popped it open.

"I do!" Momoko nodded. And nodded. "Only pure chocolate can improve Mister Alfred cookies. Do we have anything we can use to heat them in the fireplace? Like S'mores?" That had appeared overnight, thank you Fandom.

"Why did a fireplace appear anyway?"

The one downside to the world not ending was that New York had come back, which meant Columbia had come back, which meant Sam still had to take his finals after spending a good chunk of time not studying at all. After spending the week freaking out, mainlining coffee, and emptying all of the knowledge he'd learned in a semester onto paper, he was finally able to relax and focus on other things, like spreading good news and holiday cheer to people he hadn't gotten to catch up with before he'd left the island.

Which would be why Dinah's phone was ringing.

Dinah opened her phone, grinned at the name on the Caller ID, and sang out, "Season's greetings, Sam!"

"Happy holidays to you too!" Sam said, glad to hear that she seemed to be in good spirits. "How are you?"

"Sugared and caffiened up!" Dinah laughed. "Having a girl's day in with Momoko and Karla, eating cookies and watching movies. It's so good to see them after all last week. How about you, dude?"
