Backstage at the Deidre Wayne Theater, Gotham University, late Wednesday afternoon

Dinah was having a little too much fun, hanging from the flies above the stage and tilting lights left, right and center at the instructions of the director, and then fastening them in place. One of her fellow techs was testing out sound cues; thunder and lightning rolled at irregular intervals. Two other guys were wearily schlepping furniture back and forth as the set designer tore her hair out below.

Ahh, theater.
