Stakeout was boring. Oooohhh so boring. Dinah had been crouched in the shadows watching and waiting for who was going into a new underground illegal casino for the last two hours; there had been talk that it was going to be hit tonight. So far, no action, and nobody who was of particular interest to the Gotham P.D. But you never knew.

Oh, right, the funeral. Roy was from a world where death was transient, and he'd only met Raven, like, twice, so he'd skipped the funeral in favor of not slipping and breaking something on an ice patch or being depressed. When he was depressed he tended to get bad ideas.

She was on the roof with this blonde chick Robin and some dude in a metal suit! And she was just like lol whatever all the Robins. Robin should not be plural!

And what were you doing on the roof, Roy?

So you just walked up on the roof to say hi?

No, I just jumped onto the roof and they were there. And awkwardness ensued. Look, Dinah was from a Gotham. She should know about this kind of thing.

She did. But she felt obligated to give Roy a bad time about this, as a semi-little-sister-type and not-at-all-stepmom.

I wasn't patrolling! I was just messing around! Which was totally why he'd brought his bow with him.

Okay, actually that was because his balance felt weird when he was running around rooftops without it, but.

Now I really want nachos. Curse you, Roy. She so should've brought a granola bar or something with her. They had food in the casino, too. She could smell the buffet when the wind was right.
