Dinah didn't have as much to pack as some people-- she would be back for the second summer session, after all. Still, she was going to miss the place, and her cat, and her friends... so there was a lot of last-minute cuddling of Camille going on, and obsessive double-checking of her stuff.

Jaime felt like he'd been spending a lot of time with Dinah recently. But since she was his hot girlfriend, he figured that was okay.

He was grinning as he swung by her room, even if it was a bit of a melancholy expression. He was going to miss her this summer.

"Hey, you!" Dinah beamed at him with an equal amount of wistfulness. "Almost that time. Now. Jump in the suitcase, and I'll take you with me."

Jaime laughed and shook his head. "Yeah. I'll miss you too."

Dinah pouted at him and went for the hug, then just hung on. "I can't believe it's actually here already. Today. Trip day. Can't we just, oh, run off to Tahiti for half the summer?"

Another laugh rumbled through Jaime as he hugged her back. Hard.

"It'd just be a delay," he pointed out. He didn't like thinking about the end of the summer, but... It would come eventually, even if he tried to ignore it.

Dinah was not thinking about that at all. Not!

But she had a trip to distract her, so she was probably having more luck. She squeezed him harder at the laugh, enjoying the vibration and grumbled, "I knooow. Why can't we have perfect magic powers to be two places at once? Why didn't I get Jamie to teach me that before he graduated last year? No fairs." She planted a kiss on his lips, then sighed. "You'll call me if anything important happens. Or anything unimportant."

Jaime kissed her back for a bit before answering. "Count on it. And same to you. If you need me..."

"You'll be there," Dinah said, utterly certain of that, and cuddling him a little bit closer. Ohh, this was going to suck at some point when it sunk in that he wasn't just down the hall. "What kind of souvenir do you want?"

"Hmm..." Jaime leaned back, arms wrapped around her waist so he couldn't get too far away from her. "Pictures. Lots of 'em."

"IIIII can do that," Dinah drawled, pleased, swaying a little and settling her arms around his neck. "Maybe a matchbook or silly thing from every place. Something tacky. So you know a tourist was there."

"Oh, tacky is totally my middle name," Jaime laughed.

Dinah snickered, and pressed another kiss to his mouth. "We totally have to take a trip somewhere together this summer. Road trip! On my bike!"

Whyyyy did it have to be eight weeks before they could do that?

"Texas?" he suggested with a grin.

"Texas!" Dinah squealed in agreement, spinning him around. "A plan! An awesome plan! For after Momoko's birthday!" She leaned closer and growled, "And possible revenge on other Birthday Boys. Sneaky."

"Smart," Jaime corrected with a grin.

"In for it," Dinah riposted, then placed another kiss on his lips. "And getting photos of me at Caesar's with the showgirls, just for starters."

She'd figure out how to get those. Somehow.
