Dinah and Tahiri had run into each other on the beach, and since the gym here was definitely not the place to spar-- they'd scare a lot of the spinning people-- they'd headed away from the main beach, just in sight of the towers, in order to get a good work-out in.

She shook her head, still a little rocked by the double sense of awe. "It was beautiful. I want to do that, too, before we go."
Digging her toes experimentally into the sand, to get a good sense of her footing, Tahiri looked up and nodded. "Just to be on the safe side, I think we'd better keep powers out of this one. I really don't want to have to mind-trick anyone."

"I'm practicing now," she answered, grinning broadly. She'd always felt a little out of her element in a fight before, never all that comfortable with it. Now, though? It was almost like breathing. That was a mental adjustment she still had to make, but it was . . . not unwelcome.
