Room 312, Thursday afternoon

Dinah was released from the clinic after the accident on the beach. Concussion, not fun. Bruised ribs, not fun. Cuts all over her arms, gah.

She had the lights low and the door half-open, lying down and half-dozing with Camille curled up on her un-hurt side.

Tony came by right after auditions. "Hey," he said, lingering at the door. "You okay?"

Dinah looked up from the bed, gave him a half-smile. "Sorta? Sorta not. C'mon in." Not getting up. Not using TK, either. "My head is killing me."

Tony came in and sat down on Claire's bed. "What happened?"

"Training accident." Dinah half-closed her eyes, and grimaced. "Azula was showing off, threw some lightning at a boulder. Blew it up. I got hit."

"Not cool," Tony said. "What'd the doc say?"

[blondecanary]

"Concussion. Bruised ribs, muscle strain." Dinah held up her butterfly-bandaged and stitched arms. "Cuts, bruises. Stay in bed, put ice on it, take Tylenol." She yawned. "Probably be fine in a week, just sucks now."

"Good," Tony said, relieved that it wasn't something more serious. "Need anything? Ice?"

"Ice would be awesome." Dinah fished her ice pack out from between her arm and side. "This one's gotten all melted. Came home and crashed after I went to the clinic."

Tony took the ice pack from her and got her a fresh one from the common room. "Anything else?"

"Nah, I'm good." Dinah smiled gratefully, and settled it against her ribs with a wince. "I took all this Tylenol. I wish it would kick in already. Can't take anything else yet. It's annoying." Because she wanted to be up and doing something, not lying there thinking about how close some of those rock shards came to really hurting her.
