After yesterday's phone messes and visit to the beach, and her chats with Karla and Momoko, and time in the Common Room, Dinah was not about to risk the phones again for any reason. Running into Jak in the park just reminded her of the Friday night radio broadcast, and if she hadn't promised Karla she'd go flying, she would've been tempted to stay in indefinitely.
Anyway, there was Firekeeper and Blind Seer to wait for, and the phone to stare at, wondering if any more bizarre messages would show up, and if any of hers had landed anywhere they were supposed to.
