[Continued from here!] Give Chuck Bass (and Francine's persuasive skills) credit where it was due: he got the job done on Arthur and Merlin's ID's in time to get the earliest flight they could to Vancouver

Well, he had been. Right now he was channeling all of his nonplussed into a message to Morgana.
It was helping him deal with all the beeps, signs, noise, and the enormous amount of people around here. Nevermind the weird sweater or whatever it was.
At least he looked normal? "Ticket. Here, don't lose this." She took a breath. "We can check our luggage, and get it back in Vancouver, or hang onto it and load it ourselves." She looked at Arthur's, then back to him. "Have you, um. Got anything pointy and sharp in there?"
"Right." World's Stupidest Question goes to Dinah Lance! "Okay, they won't let you take that onto the plane with you. They'll put it in the cargo hold, though. So you'll get it back when we arrive." She pointed over to the luggage counter, and gave him a hopeful look. And didn't look over at the security line, where people were entering with luggage. Nope. See, power of suggestion! Point at the one Arthur should do!
"Yes, the guards at the entrance there are armed," Dinah said, nodding to the TSA guys, currently scanning a woman looking irked that her bra was setting off the metal detector wand. "And on the plane, there's an air marshal. At least there should be. He'll be undercover so no one can see who it is, and any ... um, bandits, or hijackers, would be surprised. And he'll have a gun." Or she. But let's not push our luck, right?
"They'll even give you a special receipt, to match it to the bag," Dinah promised. "And if they don't, you're allowed to threaten them as much as you want until they find it and give it back. Everyone does."
"I'm always allowed to threaten people as much as I want," he reminded Dinah, "...Within reason."
He squinted in the direction she'd indicated. "They'd best take care of it," he continued, "Most of the swords in this time look more like knitting needles."
Unlike Edward, Dinah felt like Arthur might actually know where that line was, and she wouldn't be talking to him through iron bars by the end of the day. Probably.
"Um. Yes?" Look hopeful, it could be the truth. "But you could tell them to be extra-careful?"
"Forever," Dinah was willing to bet. "'kay, now we just have to get through Security. Then wait for the plane to board."
Okay. What were the odds Arthur had a concealed weapon on him? Yeah, let that be the TSA guy's argument to have. He could read the signs just fine. Although the bit about the shoes might throw him.
"They have to take them and X-ray them--" Dinah paused, then said, "Check and see if you have a concealed blade or a razor or something in the soles. Since they're usually thick enough for that not to set off the metal detector if you had one stashed there." She grimaced and took off here earrings, watch, and a ring, and then looked down at herself, toeing off her sandals. "They'll want to check your cellphone too."

Arthur also... sort of tilted his head.
"Of course I do," he said, as if he didn't realise why she was even asking the question. "How else am I going to fend off-- creatures?"

"What if we get attacked by bandits on the plane?" he asked, after a moment. Quite sensibly. "Will the guards be armed?"

"It's been taken care of," he said, simply.

He was trying to be well-behaved, though. He just didn't understand why they had to make such a fuss about knives.
"And what's this about the shoes?"
