"It issss!" Dinah sang out, beaming up at the skyscrapers above her. "It's both! Thank you! I'm 22! Can you believe it? How are you, how's Glacia, I wish you were here!"
"Happy birthday!" Raven said, flopping down on her bed. "I think I am 22 now as well, but that is only because I have spent more time in Glacia than you. It is hard to keep track sometimes. Glacia has been quiet. There has not been much going on."
"Any new playmates?" Dinah asked, twirling in her new toe shoes from Momoko. "I don't get to be off-work tonight until two or so, so I'm trying to figure out how to have a cake delivered to a stakeout."
"You know, there must be, I mean, they deliver everything else," Dinah said, thinking aloud. "Ha. I should get a sheet cake sent to No Man's Land, and make Gibson promise not to cut into it until I get there... and yaaaay fun peoples!"
"We'll see who's hanging out after patrol. Helena and Barbara will be there, and Gabby said she would be. Jesse, and Gibson, and Alfred." She grinned. "Anyone after that is just the icing on the cake. Gibson's offered to host my post-grad party at No Man's Land too."
"Yeah, well, it's not like I could send him an e-vite... You know, at this point, I should be able to," Dinah said, interrupting herself in the middle. "We've been kissing acquaintances for over a year now and even if he does live in another city, I should at least have a damn phone number. I think I'll track him down and tell him so."
YES. LIKE THAT. Although Dinah herself wasn't sure any more if they'd missed their Window of Awesome.
"I think so?" Dinah frowned. "I know so," she said with more determination. "The summer war kind of screwed up our momentum, but. He still seems pretty cool and very hot, and how many guys am I gonna meet who can handle that I fight crime, you know?"
