aspen!
aspen was amazing!
the town is really adorable... it’s pretty small but it has great food and even better shopping! i think the best part is the people… everyone there is gorgeous, seriously… everywhere you went, literally everyone was beautiful and dressed extremely well, which i didn’t appreciate until i got off the plane in DTW and looked around… our condo was a three minute walk from the gondola, so we were able to ski-in/ski-out every day… and it snowed the second day we got there so skiing was PERFECT! i really wanted to up my game, so i took private lessons everyday from this adorable man named andy and learned so much…
the second day we were there, tommy and i went shopping for this huge party at the st. regis called the winter fantasy ball and we met this really cute girl, lauren… i ended up hanging out with her pretty much the entire trip, she’s 21 and just moved to aspen… the winter fantasy ball was such a wild party! i met SO many people, way more than i can document… all i can say is that i have never been hit on by so many men in my life… it is an accurate statement that aspen was full of sleazy men -rich sleazy men- but still, really sleazy men! the only guy that I met under 55 and actually liked was a 22 y/o named doug… he’s from laguna beach and plays baseball for the angels… i had so much fun with him, we got drunk and danced all night!
new year ’s eve! omg this was quite literally out of control… after skiing all day, we went to one of the nicest restaurants in town, kenichi, and then I went to this amazing private party on top of the mountain… i still can’t believe that i got invited… this house was unreal and he completely decked it out for new year’s… ice sculptures everywhere, huge security men at the door, porn stars, top ceo’s, models, the best champagne, coke everywhere, unreal… it was like something you see in the movies… the crowd was a little too fast for me, but i still had a great time!
on doug’s last nite, he took me to the caribou club, which is a members-only bar downtown… again, had the best time with him (see pics)! we drank the best champagne and danced all nite with his friends… besides that, the rest of the week is pretty much the same… since aspen is pretty small, you always run in to the people that you've met previously, so we knew people everywhere we went! we tried to ski at least a few hours every day, over-indulged in the most amazing restaurants, and i hit up the best bars… besides the fact that i did miss my friends at home a lot, overall the best trip in a while!
