Update...
This week's target (well as of now, as i realise this week is almost over!) 500+ more words on surrogacy and then some typing.
This dissertation is really eating up my summer! However, due to a lot of persistence on my part yesterday, i now no longer have to write a rant on how my supervisor is being difficult. In the end, having no luck contacting her through e-mail or phone, i made myself resort to text messages. Though i would usually really hate to do something like that, the final straw came, when i found out from another person in the faculty that she had not received my initial drafts but had not told me and had let 2 weeks go by. Also, i need to change my title slightly, but cannot do so without her telling the administrator. So things got a bit desperate there.
However, its progressing ok. I think i'm still on target to have it finished by the end of next week, and get it to the binders the week after. Its all going to involve 3 trips to manchester in the next 3 weeks though. Which as college starts the week after next, will involve some careful planning.
In other news...
I have 2 interviews!!!!
One with the firm of loveliness, who despite last year's disaster have seen fit to not write me off entirely and give me another shot at things, AND with a smaller firm though in the same line of work. I can't tell you how relieved i was to get those phone calls / letters. I really thought for a while that i'd got nothing as it is quite late for them to be replying, (i may even still post the big wingey epistle i wrote when feeling really down about it last Sunday!) but i'm over the moon now.
The assessment day at the place i went to last time has changed entirely this year though, so lots of prep needed. However, the presentation is going to be a topic that they will give us on the day **quakes**
It was the unprepared presentation that let me down last time, so i'm really really really not looking forward to that. But at least this time, everyone else will be in the same boat. Also, i looked at what the assessment day for the other firm will be like, and gosh its thorough. There are verbal reasoning tests, presentations, in-tray exercises, marketing stratgey planning exercises and they ask the most horrific questions at interview. AND THATS LESS THAN 10 DAYS AWAY!!!! Eeek.
