As you can probably work out from the lack of further posts on Friday - we still don't know what is happening re: the house purchse.  Though I've managed to get this far through the weekend without thinking about it too much, so that's a small victory.  At this rate, it isn't really going to matter whether the bank will lend us money or not, because if they faff about for much longer the vendor is going to pull out and sell to the other buyer as it's taken too long for us to get sorted.  As we're sure it's going to be a no, re: this house - we're feeling a bit guilty that we're having to take so long to provide the information to the vendor and also to our landlord re: staying at this flat once the current lease is up.  I'm also very tired of being the one that is constantly chasing the bank - they did not reply to any one of my messages last week - and I don't want to spend yet another week of hanging off the phone to an answermachine.  So much for the '3 day turnaround' for a decision that we were promised.

Not much to report from this weekend as we were bored yesterday - too hot to do much, all the usual walking places get packed when the weather is nice, Cat had her parents around and our imagination wasn't up to coming up with other things to do. I made a curry from scratch in the evening though, and despite it looking a bit weird it tasted fine and I was quite pleased with it.

Today we're doing the house work & laundry and I'm going to bake some cakes later.  Don't know what we'll do with the afternoon.

Right now I think it's time for a cuppa.
