Snowy Owl Witch--My First Painting of 2010!
I have some new art to show ya--my first painting of 2010! It's called "Snowy Owl Witch," and it's painted in acrylics on a 16- by 12-inch canvas. I will post the painting as well as prints for sale when I get it scanned, which will probably be tomorrow. It has been cold here, but has warmed up the past few days--thank goodness!
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm on vacation (this is my third day), and I've really been enjoying watching DVDs and listening to music while painting. My friend Jodie gave me some really good CDs of Depeche Mode live from Tel Aviv, as well as songs from their new album. AWESOME!!!! I also like music of the 1920s, and have been listening to a couple of CDs I have, as well as a ragtime CD, which is really cool! The ragtime CD makes me think of Teddy Roosevelt, as the music is from that era.
We get a yearly performance evaluation where I work, and I got one a few days ago. I wasn't sure how I would rate in my new job (been at it for almost 6 months), but I got an exceeds, which is fantastic! It also means a pretty good raise for me. YAY! :-)
