Philly - Sunday 2
This morning for breakfast Stoobs forgot his promise of chocolate chip pancakes so we had sausages with cheese and ham. It was very nice (said in a Borat voice) Well when I saw this morning, I really mean lunchtime.
Anne Marie had a lot of work to do so me and Stoobs went out for the day. We went through Conshohocken to get to Norristown where he tried to find houses to do up. Then we went to a couple of shops, one was a computer shop called CompUSA and another was a sort of TK Maxx kind of place called Marshalls. In Marshalls I managed to find some Lindt chocolate. It was definately welcoming. UK chocolate > US chocolate.
Then we hit the King Of Prussia Mall. This was basically a retail park. However, being American it was at least 5 times the size of the biggest UK retail park I've seen. It had lots of places to eat including TGI Friday's and Ruby Tuesdays as well as stores such as Bloomingdales and Macys. We went into Best Buy and I managed to find the special Best Buy Edition of Yours Truly Angry Mob and sent the man to the warehouse to get the bonus CD. However he had to make two treks to the warehouse as I needed two of the CDs. I made Stoobs buy one whilst I bought the other to help album sales. I also managed to find myself a US only Foo Fighters EP :D
We tried to find Electric Circus.... or as its known to everyone else in America apart from Stoobs, Circuit City as according to Anne Marie there was one at King Of Prussia mall. After driving around for half an hour we concluded that there wasn't one and we went into Nordstrom Rack, which is sort of like Next Clearence. The Next being Nordstrom. I bought 3 pairs of earrings including a pair of Swarvoski crystal Givenchy earrings for a bargainous price.
We went home so we could get ready to go out for dinner. We (me, Stoobs, Anne Marie and Greg) went to this Italian place in Ardmore which is near Narberth. It was a bring your own bottle place so we had two bottle of red and two of white. After what seemed like half an hour deciding what to have and numerous recommendations from our waiter we finally managed to order. During this time I discovered that I could make Greg giggle like a girl if I said "butter". We had our meal and with the bill we got offered either Amaretto or sambuca. I went for amaretto but Stoobs went for sambuca and asked the waiter for a lighter. The waiter watched in amazement as Stoobs swilled the sambuca around in his mouth before lighting it. As we were the last customers, the waiter asked Stoobs to teach him how to do that. So after the waiter being taught how to drink sambucca like that and him then dragging the other waiters and waitresses over to demonstrate we got told we were the best customers ever :D
We went to a bar near where we parked the car for a drink then Greg got nominated to drive us back as he was the one who was the least drunk. When we got back to the house Anne Marie went straight to bed. I wish I'd done the same, instead I stayed up with Stoobs and Greg, polished off the wine before drinking a carbomb... I somehow managed to end up posting on the Kaiser Chiefs messageboard... my posts went something like this:
