so excited because at 6 am tomorrow, rachel and i will have the house to ourselves until everyone comes on june 8th. there are already 2 "get-togethers" planned, one tomorrow night masked as a going away party for carie even though she will only be gone for like 5 days, and then one for andreas birthday on saturday. i have been searching all over town for a fold up table for beer pong and after looking at sears, target, and bjs, i finally got a decent one at home depot for $50. pretty pricey, so i rationalizing that i have to have lots of parties so it will pay itself off. im kind of pissed my mom is coming home for the july 8th weekend when everyone from fordham will be here, but i asked her if it would be okay if we drank and played beer pong outside if we were safe about it and didnt drive drunk and she seemed not to have that big of a problem with it. sweetness!
work has been going really well actually too. i was really nervous for the boys to get out of school and having to work full days, staying at the house for the whole time--i havent really talked about taking them places yet. but its actually going well, we have a semi-routine going on. i wake up at 8 and get there at 8:30. they usually want to play video games once i get there and i usually end up taking a nap while they play, then we just do arts and crafts, play outside in the sprinkler (the pool is getting set up in a couple of days) and with there billions of toys, then i make them lunch, they do a little bit of reading and workbooks, and then we either go outside more or watch a movie or something. its actually been a lot of fun and i havent been counting down the time like i did 2 summers ago.
otherwise, i just discovered how amazing ebay is. you can buy seven jeans for like 30 or 40 bucks...fyi they are usually at least 130. lacoste polos which are $72 for 15 or 20 bucks. im just a beginning so i havent started bidding yet im just searching, but its awesome. i could have an addiction in the making. alright well i guess thats all ive got to say for a while.
ps i cannot wait for you guys to get here!! i miss everyone so much and it will be so nice to see you. im a little nervous that i dont have anything super fun and exciting planned, im banking on the fact that seeing each other and just hanging out will be semi-sufficient. as it gets closer, let me know what your travel plans are so i can arrange picking everyone up. we'll talk soon and see eachother even sooner!! yay!!
