(no subject)
I've just got back from my first day working in the infirmary with Madam Pomfrey. She mostly just showed me around today, and explained some of the things I'll be doing. I won't be doing anything too important, sorting potions and labeling files and that sort of thing. She said I might start helping with some of the potion preparation later on. Which actually makes me a bit nervous, considering how confusing I always find Potions. I'll try really hard not to poison anyone, I promise!
I'm really excited about volunteering though! It will be a really good experience, and hopefully help me get an internship at St. Mungo's next year! Of course, it also makes me even busier, and it's only the beginning of the term! I can't even think about the spring yet. I've heard that the stress from NEWTs sometimes cause people to break out in boils! I don't want that to happen to me! Boils are disgusting.
Now I'd best be off to the greenhouses. I need to make some more observations for our essay this week. It's really the last thing I feel like doing. Usually I like Herbology, but I feel tired from classes already. I don't know why I decided to keep on with Astronomy. I wish I could just stay here and play exploding snap or something else that isn't homework for a while. I'm glad this is my last year!
