Penguicon Day 3
Sunday April 20th:
I originally wasn't going to go back again, but after taking a quick shower, I started looking through the schedule book and saw a panel on using VIM that started at noon.
mrs_sweetpeach was talking about VIM on Friday so I thought I might learn about it. So I grabbed my stuff and headed back to the hotel.
My BiL saw me in the lobby, and said that while
min8ive had just left (bummer, I had just missed you!) he, S. and T. still had to pack up. So I offered to help. Except, then I lost track of him. I saw
kevinnickerson and said good-bye and he directed me to the GT Suite where J. had asked to borrow
rmeidaking 's hand truck. On my way there I passed
jebra in the stairway. I got to the GT Suite and saw
icyfeetofdeath again. Then my BiL showed up and I followed him back to S.'s room.
S. & T. were both there. I told them I wasn't sure if anyone had formally explained who I was and told them I am L.'s (min8ive's) sister. They both responded with "Oooooooh, oookaaayyy, that explains things." They had questioned why it appeared I was randomly following J. around on occasion (yeah, um, no I'm not just some weird stalkery groupy O.O lol. T. did say later that he had a female total stranger walk up to him and ask for a hug).
So I helped them get the the van packed up. Then I took the hand truck back up to the GT Suite except no one was there. One of the hotel maids (ok, I don't know today's PC term) was cleaning what was the ConFusion Suite and she wouldn't let me into the other room because I did not have a key. I didn't want to leave the handtruck sitting in the hall for fear someone might walk by and mistake it for a hotel dolly and take it. So I waited for rmeidaking to come back, then helped her take everything down and pack up her van.
After that I didn't see anyone else so I went to a panel on computer animation changing monster movies which I thought was interesting.
Then I headed for home.
Here is yet another video of the Tesla Coils. As opposed to the other ones I've posted so far which were shot using my Canon PowerShot SD850 IS that I held on to, this one was taken using a Sony Digital Handycam on a tripod that was left running for much of the concert. In this video, I left the part after the coils stopped playing because you should be able to hear people in the audience shouting out their requests including Freebird and Stairway to Heaven, which, yeah, it's amusing.
