Yeah, Monday is almost over. It will be for me by the time I get this posted, but whatev. The cat is doing relatively well.
Here she is trying to lay down on her spot, except I am annoying her:
I put a sheet over the loveseat, because, you know, cat fur. It's easy to pick up the sheet & wash it every so often.
She lays there, falls fast asleep and eventually falls off the back and hits the window sill on the way to the floor. She does that on a regular basis. You'd think that after the first dozen or so times of ending up on the floor, she would learn. You'd think she would also have learned the couple times she has slept turned around or like this:
resulting in her falling onto the couch, that that would be the softer landing way to go. But no. She usually sleeps the other way, anyway.
I have pretty much solved her food problem. A few months ago, she was having problems keeping her food down. Upon a vet tech's suggestion, I switched to low fat food. The only ones she likes the most are Friskies Indoor
Classic Chicken Entree and
Herbed Salmon Entree. They are easy lick, especially when I add cold water and store the remainder in the refrigerator. Yes, she seems to like them best cold. Go figure. I also leave in another dish
Purina One Beyond for adult cats dry food, which she also likes and digests well. Good thing she really likes chicken and salmon.
Here she is annoyed with me because I was laying in bed, sleeping, when I should be getting up to freshen the food in her dishes. Yeah, I know, it's not like she can do it herself.
She has been getting on my last nerve lately. This morning I got home from work and put food in her dish. I showered and went back into the kitchen to check her dishes. Plenty of food in both, so I grabbed the water pitcher from the 'fridge to mix in (and get a drink for myself). I took one step back and stepped right on her. She made me stumble and nearly fall onto the floor. Of course she was angry with me. I put the water in her dish then went to bed. Yeah, now she kind of tries to stay away from my feet, but it isn't easy when she is trying to lead me to the kitchen and constantly stopping to turn back and make sure I am following her. *sigh*
