Random Post is Random
I saw Sherlock Holmes today. I liked the movie as a whole. Maybe it's just me, but I thought Rachel McAdams ruined many of the scenes she was in. Maybe it was bad acting on her part? IDK
Maybe I'm weird but I want to see movies or watch TV shows more when I know the actors get along quite well. One of the many reasons I wanted to see Sherlock Holmes was because I knew Robert Downey, Jr. & Jude Law got along quite well. The same for one of the many reasons I got into Supernatural.
I really got into the new Dr. Who was David Tennant. Most people preferred Christopher Ecceleston as The Doctor. I, however, happened to stumble on articles about John Barrowman (here, here, and here):
... DAVID TENNANT is a "happier" presence on set. ...the addition of Tennant helped lighten the mood of the whole cast. He says, "I found the set to be a lighter one with David than it had been with Christopher in the lead role. I think David is a happier person, whereas I found Chris to be a bit angry."
The actor, who plays Captain Jack Harkness on the BBC One sci-fi hit, admitted that he did not enjoy spending time with Eccleston when they worked together on the programme.
"Chris was always grumpy. You don't always have to be intense. There comes a point when intensity makes you miserable - I think that was the case with Chris," Barrowman told the Daily Record. "I much prefer working with David - he likes to have a bit more fun, he's more charismatic as a person.
"Chris might have been a great Doc but he was darker and had a chip on his shoulder, he was not as much fun on set as David. I will give him the credit that he was the first Doctor to bring back the series and made a damn good job of it.
"But I just wouldn't go to the pub with him. On the other hand, David's been to my house, we went to the Madonna concert with our partners - we socialise together. He's a lot more fun."
I know, JB was only in a few episodes of Dr. Who, but it just seemed to make me like the Ninth Doctor that much less.
And, of course, these certainly didn't hurt my opinions any.
