I stopped at the Welcome Center just inside Michigan from Indiana. The cat wanted to go for a walk so I put her on a leash & collar. She walked much further than I expected. I guess her little "excursions" outside the motel have been making her brave. It wasn't raining when we set out, but during the walk it started raining. I picked the cat up & took her back to the car, then went to the ladies room. A man was standing outside the rest room and told me there was a prisoner inside and could I wait a few minutes. I didn't have to go all that bad, so I told him it was not a problem. Ditto for a couple other women who approached. Five minutes or so later a female guard escorted the prisoner out and the guy told us we could then go in.
The rest of the trip was uneventful. About 50 miles later I realized I was past due for a decongestant and several hours past due for a mucas relief pill and realized I didn't really need either one that much. Sunday night & Monday night I had gotten only an hour or so of sleep combined due to spending all of it trying to cough up a lung.
So I became allergic to Illinois or something. Last night I woke up once coughing for a few minutes. Drank some water & slept like a rock the rest of the night. Had lots of strange dreams that I can't remember any of the details of upon waking.
Around 11:00 PM I went out to find something to eat (because I didn't know right away where my loaf of bread was in order to make a sandwich). I passed a McDonald's & decided to turn around and go there. I turned down a side street and into a GFS parking lot & turned around. On my left, in the parking lot of a collision shop something caught my eye. I looked closer. And saw 4 deer roaming. On a major, always very busy Ford Road.
Real deer, not deerdroids with laser eyes! My camera sucks when it comes to dark close-ups. I kind of "chased" them down the side street. By chased I mean I was trying to take their pictures and they kept walking further down the street trying to get away from me.
Also, I think my poor cat has come down with another cold. She has been sneezing quite a bit lately.
And thanks to
min8ive I now have the Kimba the White Lion theme tune stuck in my head *chuckles*

Now I have to go to the bank and retrieve my ATM card. It turns out that if you try to withdraw a large amount of cash from the ATM you have to:
