Hi shadesong. I just wanted to let you know, as dorky as it is, how wonderful it is for me to see that I'm not the only person who uses LiveJournal. I almost felt like I was the only one. This gives me hope in some bizarre and almost karmic way.

I just ended my therapy at BARCC last week. I was participating in a yoga therapy class, which had its last session today. I plan to participate in the trauma information group in the fall. I am still feeling very vulnerable, of course. I just wanted to let you know how good it makes me feel to see users on LJ and BARCC speakers -- and writing! -- all put together! I also have some pipe dreams of becoming a writer... I have a lot to write about.

Thank you for all the work you are doing. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you.

Awesome! How was the yoga class? I've heard of it, and it sounds like a great idea...

It was wonderful for me. It may not be for everyone.

I've always been interested in yoga personally but I think I was far too critical of myself during "normal" yoga classes. This gentle yoga approach helped me focus more on how my body felt, now how "correctly" I needed to do the poses. I was still critical of myself getting the poses right, but the yoga instructor used phrases like "This is not a performance" which were incredibly self-affirming.

I learned how to get in tune with how my body feels, how to learn from my body's needs, and how to breathe properly. By the end of every class, I felt like I could breathe at least ten times clearer than in the beginning of the class. I learned a lot. It was extremely helpful and in some ways very vital to my healing process. I have made promises to myself to practice yoga, even in its simplest forms, each day. It really does help.

Zan is an amazing teacher, and an amazing person as well. I will miss her!

I've been friends with friends of yours for years but never thought to check out your blogathon. Shame on me!

As a victim of repeated date rape that spanned my 16th & 17th years of life, I can honestly say I wish things had been talked about back then. Sure we'd heard about rape, who hadn't, but date rape was not spoken of. Nobody talked about it so of course I had no idea. I hope that the group you're supporting is able to get that word out the people everywhere. I look forward to your posts this weekend.

I'd like to participate in auctions, but I won't have consistent Internet access until August 3rd, most likely. Possibly July 31st. Are the funds going to be needed ASAP?

Hello! I'm here via jimhines. Was perusing the pages but didn't see info I was looking for, so I hope it's not inappropriate to post here. Feel free to redirect me to the info.

Is shipping part of the bid or will that needed to be calculated in a different place prior to the "final" total? And should each offer be considered a separate donation, or if one wins multiple, the various should be totaled?

Thanks and good luck!

Shipping is included - and you can total up your wins and just tell me which items you won when you send the e-mail receipt. :)
