Log of the Demeter

30 July. - Last night. Rejoiced we are nearing England. Weather fine, all sails set. Retired worn out; slept soundly; awakened by mate telling me that both man of watch and steersman missing. Only self and mate and two hands left to work ship.

====================================

This is an experiment in posting Bram Stoker's novel DRACULA in "real time" [meaning the dates laid out in the text] on LiveJournal, with kind permission from eye-of-a-cat and elettaria, who did this in dracula1897 in 2006.

Feel free to comment, or to read along at your own pace.

Other experiments this year include the fresh-from-hiatus Dracula Blogged at TypePad [the first experiment of its kind that I was made aware of, back in 2005] and RealTimeDracula at Twitter. Please let Bryan and Michael know how much you enjoy their efforts!

Thanks for joining us!
