MMMMMM... Spicy and tangy and crunchy, the cold food of choice at the ren fair. mmmmm...pickles.
Okay, now that most of you have been scared off, here is the update on the life of me.
I am working my ass off, but my classes are rewarding. Studies in YA lit, intro to creative non-fic, and Film and Culture: Anime and Posthumanism. The apartment is a real mess, almost intolerably so, but I do not have the energy to fix it. I need to spend more time at home and less at Tamas' place. I just really like his place, and he doesn't like staying over here. Not much else to report. I hope everyone is doing well. Here is a poem, but don't feel obligated to read it.
Quarrelsome with Aspiration
Or
Dressed Up in Port Townsend
Sweet siblings they were, bound not
By blood but rather by choice followed
By choice, like the beat of breath
Through salt cheeks and fierce teeth
Bared to the each other in thick smiles.
One girl simpers in the soft swells of velvet
Tinged of wine and strawberries. Her neck
A rhinestone bedazzlement, further ensorcelled
By her sequin squinting satin
Sheathed breasts. This splendor
Lingers low over hip, tumbles to caress
Perfectly placed ankles, polished
Toes at right angles.
The other with lips stretched
Just too pencil thin for glamour, garbed
In a galaxy of black, moons milling about the drape
Of sarong shouldered over skirt.
Sweetly secret beneath the dark peeks
A growing green
Vest crafted with her two hands for just such an outing.
Grappling together, their fingers do no know
Whether to woo or to wrestle.
