The girls this season are AMAZING! Gorgeous and hot and sexy and can they ever dance! *fans self* The guys aren't bad either. Actually, I like all of the contestants, and besides being talented, they are tops in the eye-candy department.

Janette & Brandon (cha-cha): I kind of feel like a broken record saying that so many dances are hot, but... this was damn hot. Janette, take me now! *___* And omg, Mia made Brandon cry! It's true, though, as a teacher, that you tend to be harshest with the ones who have the most potential but who aren't living up to it.

Kayla & Kupono (contemporary): Sonya (the choreographer) is a Twilight fan, apparently... Those stag leaps into the falls were perfectly synchronised, it was amazing. Apart from that... I don't know, it was cool, but I didn't find it very memorable.

Randi & Evan (Broadway): I love this couple, they're awesome together. I'm not quite sure why the judges weren't blown away, because I thought this was better than Kayla & Kupono's routine. Certainly more fun! I love Randi more and more each show; she`s adorable.

Caitlin & Jason (pop jazz): This is "Choreographers Go Insane Week", right? Seriously, with that kind of storyline (Alien impregnates the last human being on Earth!), what can you do but just laugh and go along for the ride? Both of them committed to it, at any rate, and I thought it was pretty funny. Also, for the first time, they really had a connection while dancing, and it made a world of difference.

Jeanine & Phillip (hip hop): Dancing while chained together at the ankle? Faut le faire! Props to these two, they were goooood. I'm kind of afraid that when Jeanine finally lands a contemporary routine, she won't be as good as we expect, because she's rocked so many styles not her own.

Melissa & Ade (classical pas de deux): THEY'RE DOING CLASSICAL BALLET ON SYTYCD!!! That's worth a couple of squeals of excitement, at least! (But, and the same goes for the contemporary pas de deux from season 4, you can't tell me that wasn't rigged! "Dance styles were randomly assigned"... except when they're not!) As for the dance itself, I suppose that if you don't know ballet, it looks incredibly impressive. I don't want to detract from their talent, but it's clear that Ade is not a ballet dancer (look at his feet for 5 seconds and you can tell, and the hell, that turning jump going into a roll on the floor? NOT CLASSICAL!, though that's the choreographer's fault, and of course they didn't put him in tights), and Melissa wasn't on pointe for all her chainés. But... BALLET ON SYTYCD! *squee*

Karla & Vitolio (quickstep): I want that dress! That's got to be the most unexpected costume ever. The dance itself was great: fun, fast, energetic, and it put a smile on my face.

Hmm, picking a bottom three is tough, since they were all good. Personally, I'd put Kayla & Kupono, Melissa & Ade and... gah, I don't know! I'm thinking Caitlin & Jason will be in the bottom, simply because the dance was so weird.

And the results!

Note to camera people: cutting from one camera to the other constantly means we can't appreciate the choreography. I was left thinking that it was probably a more interesting piece than what I saw, because of the million cuts from one angle to another. As it was, I spent half the time trying to get a good look at Kayla to ascertain that she was not actually, though she seemed to be, naked from the waist down.

I only got one out of three this time! Bottom three couples are Kayla & Kupono, Jeanine & Phillip, and Karla & Vitolio.

Based on their solos, I'd send Karla and Kupono home, but I'm thinking the judges will cut Vitolio. I can kind of see where they're coming from with this latest solo, in that he looks like he's going to jump much higher/spin more than he actually ends up doing. They love Kayla, so she's obviously safe, and Jeanine was great. Plus, she danced to one of my favourite pieces ever (Moonlight Sonata), which only won her more points in my book. XD

Haha, right on both counts. I'll admit that Kupono has shown much more growth as a dancer... but I still don't think he's as good as Vitolio.

Blarg, I want my nose to stop being stuffed up! I woke up parched more than once during the night because my nose was out of commission, and breathing through my mouth completely dried it out. I'm afraid tonight will be the same... :P
