Finished!

`
I wasn't sure this month would get done in time, between having been accidentally drafted into being charity quilt coordinator/cutter (96+ kits done by me, TYVM) and having the machine in for service and being really busy.

This one turned out fairly well. Nice contrast.

I tried it in 'negative' to see what would happen. At least I realized it wasn't likely to turn out well since that combination hasn't worked yet. And I was right. Eh, it's done.

I now have a very very busy week including travel into The Most Horrible Storm Ever (TM) and I really ought to start on a customer's project even though she said she "didn't care if it was done until January" (um, I don't want it hanging around that long, thanks) but I paid off my new-to-me machine that will be much easier to cart around to classes than my Ruby and I'd like to learn to use it. So cute!

I used their store demo model to work on an iron tote -- fabric, 2 layers of Insulbrite, the reflective layer, and around the edge the extra layers with the binding -- and it handled it beautifully. And it embroidered through fabric plus a layer of Insulbrite without complaint. This could be fun, if it's not too much for my brain to handle learning a different interface. Bonus: I had an extra Viking ankle so I can switch out the ankle on the machine and have most of the many dozen feet usable on it. Sweet! Is it too much to hope the storm cancels the trip before we leave but doesn't knock out our power?
