If you're bored of my thoughts...
...then I introduce you to the latest and greatest on livejournal: hallstabo. Yes, it's the Swedish roommate, or rather the one who isn't the roommate, anymore. I'm so glad to have a way to keep track of him. I don't know how prolific he'll be on livejournal, but I look forward to his juicy stories from Southern California.
As for thoughts from me, I recently got a chuckle out of one of those do you realize what that is? moments. I came across this clip of middle-age ladies line dancing to Scissor Sisters' "Filthy/Gorgeous". While the clip is titled X-Rated, IT IS NOT. The ladies are fully clothed and there's nothing obscene. I think someone thought the song was titled that. Perhaps these ladies love asserting their virility and sexuality. And at face value, that's what the song seems to be about, especially if you can't catch all the lyrics. "Gladys, let's go dance. This is our song, because we're both gorgeous!"
But, seriously, the song is a cat fight among transsexual prostitutes. With that in mind, I just giggle when I watch these ladies strut their stuff. Although I doubt they do, I hope some of them are thinking, "Gladys, you slag, get your tired filth out on the floor and let's do some scissor-sistering."
BTW, here's the music video for the song. Given what I said it's about, consider yourself warned. :-P And I do love this group. Even knowing where they're coming from, or perhaps because of it. ;-)
