Can anyone tell me, does Britain have funnel cake?

I was just wondering. Funnel cake is a dinner-plate-sized donut with jam and confectioner's sugar that is made by pouring batter through a funnel into frying oil. It turns out as a big twisted pile of donut rope. It's delicious. It is the cause of many people vomiting on the teacups and rollercoasters at the fair.

Also, what countries do and do not have apple fritters? Based on the tourists from everywhere who come to my brand name coffee retailer, they are only an American thing. I'm not really sure how to describe an apple fritter-- a pile of donut, glazed, with apple pieces inside.

Seriously, this is bothering me. I'm a little stupid right now because I'm trying to work at two rather different jobs. I have to wear a shirt with a collar at both and you know that's just eating away at my potential brain space. Please use small words.
