Well, here I am

I am in San Francisco. I have to go change all my information now, and, y'know, figure out where things are like laundry, and coffee. I am in a nice neighborhood on a deadend, nearly-vertical street. I am about 15 minutes from a train/bus station. I am going to have to get used to all the wires above the streets. And buses that run on Sundays! If anybody has any tips on the transit system tell me, I'm confused. I think I'll just take the M line until it ends, then take it back again to see where it goes.

All the plants and fish survived survived the trip, but the pleico is pissed at me. My previous room was actually a home office/walk-in closet type of deal, about 8 by 9 with an slanted ceiling. This is roughly 13 by 15, wood floor, big windows, no closet (some things never change) with a fireplace. I lucked out. It sure makes up for losing my studio space (aka our garage.) There's a great view (of houses, nothing touristy, and maybe the bay if you look at this one notch in the hills and it isn't foggy.) Nice kitchenette, bathroom with a skylight. Two other people, one of whom I know and whose company I enjoy. Seriously, I lucked out. I hope I get my deposit back from the old house-- probably will. Cleaning was exhausting.

Kai and Becca, I'd love to catch up with you. (I have a baby basil for you.)
ETA: Cassie, Justin, where are you? James, Michelle, I saw a bus going to Dublin/Pleasanton. I bet I could one day be on that bus.
