So, two weeks ago, I bidded on and won this:
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m50799997 Now, it appears that it was not meant to be. ;_; The seller never contacted my deputy--apparently, they decided they either don't deal with deputies, or don't want to get such a small amount for the cels. I suppose that's fine with me. I don't really collect much MMB, but it's still kind of sad.
Not to mention that I also lost these without even trying:
http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e74073086 http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w21095315 The group of five was definitely worth more, but all I really wanted was the P-chan. ;_; I just don't have the money to bid on nice lots like that. I'd wager that all of them (besides the Happosai) would go for at least $100 if they were separate, maybe up to $200.
Luckily enough, I will soon have One Piece sketches to make up for it. They were actually delivered today, but when I checked the EMS site at about 4:30, it still said that they were at the post office. Now its showing up as delivered. Hmmmmm . . . I wonder how it would look if I got caught breaking into the campus UPS store to steal my package in my pajamas. Probably not good. Especially since . . . well, you don't need to know that.
*ahem*
Not feeling too good. When I went home on Sunday, my little brother and my older sister were sick (well, another one of my brothers was, too, but he's been sick for about two months because he's autistic and doesn't take care of himself). The one little brother is about 9 years old and he always clings to me when I go home. Sooooo . . . I'm sick. Yuck. Sore throat, cough, head cold, the works. Plus cramps, though that's a bit unrelated. So, pretty icky overall.
On top of that, on Sunday, my ipod suddenly stopped working. It gets stuck with the apple on the screen, then sometimes switches to a folder icon with an exclamation point. So, I need to format the harddrive, but Itunes won't recognize the ipod. >.< I can get it in disc mode, but it doesn't really help. I can't even format it using special programs for formatting flash drives (which is what the computer recognizes it as when its in disc mode). Plus, it won't turn off, so it just slowly drains its batteries, the harddrive whirring away, as I attempt to fix it. I think I might have to open it up, and if that fails, I'll be music-less for a while. ;_; *sniiiiiff*
Grrrrr. I don't like it when technology beats me. I will not allow it to!!!!!! So,
tex_chan, if you're reading this, don't feel bad in the slightest. I love you to bits for thinking of giving it to me to begin with. *hugs*
It seems like problems with my ipod go hand-in-hand with problems with my bike. If you remember, it was about a year and a half ago when my bike and my ipod where both stolen within weeks of each other. Well, I still have my bike (a cheap, pink, with glittery brake lines one that a coworker gave me) it's just kind of broken. The chain has been thunking for quite a while now--feeling like it's jumping the gear or something. Every once in a while, the chain plain comes off. Well, it's been becoming more and more frequent. Yesterday, when I went to pick up a package across campus (Saiyuki DVDs yay!) and on the way back, it fell off three times. -_- I wasn't even halfway back yet. So, I locked it to a bike rack and hiked the rest of the way back, DVDs in tow. Luckily, when I mentioned it to my home teachers last night (church thing), one of them recognized the symptoms and the other offered to fix it for me. He was supposed to call this morning, but he didn't. Hopefully, it'll be soon. I don't like walking places.
I also almost burnt down the dorm kitchen tonight. I was cooking mac&cheese, and I started smelling this weird burning smell. Now, this is a dorm kitchen, and the inhabitants spill all kinds of stuff, so I paid it no mind. It usually just is a bit of food that burns off. But, the smell didn't go away. That's when I noticed that the roll of paper towels on the stove was pretty close to the burner I was using . . .
It had a blackened edge that was glowing red when I pulled the paper towl roll away. I ripped off the end and hurried over to the sink to douse the smell. While the water rushed over it, I heard one of the guys watching basketball on the kitchen tv yelling, "What was that?!" I looked up quickly, a little embarressed. He apparently was just yelling about someone hugging one of the players. -_-
Anyway, that's my sad little life lately. I really need to get my butt in gear and get a few things done. It should be a really busy semester, but I haven't really felt motivated yet. :(
EDIT: Now I've got another set of auctions to add to my "lost" list.
