Yeah, hiiiii.
This is going to be as short as possible because I'm dying of exhaustion and I have lots o shit to do. The best way for me to formulate stuff would be by bullet points, so on I go...look at me!
& I mentioned something last week about how I was filling out an application for a summer camp in New Hampshire. Well, turns out, the ad my friend Vanessa saw wasnt for counselors, it was for nannies, which is, as you all know, right up my alley!! So I got an email from the lady Thursday morning, she called me Thursday afternoon, we emailed back and forth all week, and then today I went and met her in Lansing (For all of you who failed to learn state capitals, its the capital (haha thats spelled wrong i think) of Michigan, about an hour and a half away from me) She and her husband live there during the winter and then she goes to the camp in NH in the summer, while her hubby stays here and works (He's the asst baseball coach at Michigan State, hollaaaa). She's like 9 months pregnant (and NOWHERE near as HUGE as Mariska, might I add) and the interview went REALLY well. I went to her house and we talked forEVER and I felt like I knew her my whole life. She's really laid back and easy going and young and cool. She basically told me I had the job, she just wanted to call some of my references. She explained to me how they were looking to hire 5 nannies total to watch a total of 4 kids btwn the 3 couples that are directors of the camp. Since she was meeting me in person and doing the hiring first hand, she told me that I would basically be solely responsible for her baby only, and the other nannies would take care of the other kids. I would get great pay, they would fly me there and back, I would get great time off, and get to participate in a lot of camp stuff. I am so beyond excited, you people dont EVEN understand.
& That paragraph got long and it was irking me so I started a new one. Anyways, she told me that she was looking at me to see if I had anyone interested in being a nanny as well. She goes, "If you have a friend....or four...that would like to do it as well, let them know!" So seriously, if any of you guys (college age only!) are good with kids, and this sounds like something you would want to invest your entire summer (Mid June-Mid August) in, let me know and I can get you all hooked up. IM me: Heddie1998 or email me: hdann01@baker.edu. Just let me know asap!! If you want to check out the camp, here's the website
http://www.campwicosuta.com. I am seriously in love with the camp already and I havent even been there yet. Its basically a camp for rich east coast girls ages 8-15, but the accomodations are so nice and its like top of the line everything. Just amazing! And if the nanny thing doesnt sound like something you'd want to do, but a camp counselor thing does, fill out an application on their website, and just put my name down where it says "Heard about us from...." Heather Dann. PS...if you really are serious about it, as far as the nanny position goes, you're basically a shoe in if you have experience and have good communication skills.
& Can you tell I'm excited? Coz I am
& Yeah so apparently I'm going to Washington DC tomorrow! I say apparently because I only found out about it at about 11PM last night. My friend Ashley from high school called me and asked me to drive down there with her for the weekend so she could see her boyfriend, and I agreed. Partially because I love traveling, but mostly because Ashley is seriously one of the most amazing, most wholesome people God put on this earth. She really has the most beautiful heart and soul of any human being I've come into contact with in my almost 20 years on this planet. To sum it up to you how great she is, I will tell you that if you spent 5 minutes with her, you would have a love the world attitude even on the shittiest day of your life, and you would love yourself. I dont know how or what she does, but she does something, and its good for you. Which is why I cant wait to spend countless hours in a car with her. That and she's honestly pretty damned amusing as well.
& Me being the mother hen that I am, am going stir crazy because I'm basically leaving in about 18 hours and I have NOTHING done. And I have to work pretty much up until the time I leave tomorrow. Oh well. I'll manage, I always do. Back to the mother hen thing, I'm making PBJ sandwiches for the car. And I'm going to get juice boxes and fruit and fruit roll ups and chips and its going to be awesome and you wish you were going. Yes, you really do.
& So I met a Baseball Hall of Famer today. Unknowningly at first. After I met the lady from the camp at her house, I followed her to Michigan State to go meet her husband at work. We walked into his office and there was this like 80 year old man in there and before I even got all the way into the office, he like jumped up off the couch and grabbed my hand and shook it and was like "Ohhh so nice to meet you!" Camp lady aka Sue, was like "Ohh, this is Heather, we're looking into her being the nanny for our little one this summer!" I was so sick with nerves about meeting the husband that I wasnt paying attn and I heard his first name and something about the Hall of Fame and didnt make the connection until I was driving home. Then I looked him up on the website and he was indeed Robin Roberts. He played for the Phillies in like 1948 or something crazy long ago like that. He also played for the Orioles, the Cubs, the Astros.
& I just talked to Ashley on the phone. OMG. I cannot wait to spend the weekend with her. That sounds so gay, but I dont mean it like that. She's just so magnificent. I wish I could be half the person she is. I am SO FRICKEN EXCITED! Just a warning, I may come back a totally changed person. Its what I'm hoping for anywho...
& So our house got shot with a bullet the other night. That was fun. Theres a huge golfball sized hole in the wall on the back of the house and a hole in the siding on the outside. I'm from tha hood niggaaazzz! Anyways, theres a picture of the whole under the cut below.
& I got some pictures of my friend Maria's little boy Jaden. I watched him for a little bit the other night and he is just SO CUTE! Like I know I say all my babies are the cutest thing in the world, but he honestly takes the cake...but shhhh, dont tell the other ones!!!
& I'm fricken excited and will never be able to sleep, so maybe I'll put this energy to good use and do something useful like pack my shizzle.
&
Jaden has a cast =( He broke his tiny little arm. But it looks cute on him, lol. And I got to sign it =D
Apparently my house ISNT bulletproof!
The best investment ever!! Get it at Costco in the frozen foods section. It's da bomb!
& I'll holla at cha'll playas when I get back in town!!!!
