Empathy rears its ugly head again....

So Dana Reeve died today. I saw that while I was watching the Today show this morning and I'm so sad about it. I dont know in great detail about her or the work she did, just what was shown on the surface of what a wonderful, strong woman she was, and its so sad that she had to die. Katie Couric said something to the effect of how someone this wonderful dying just makes you think a lot about the fairness of life. And it really does. There are scumbag pedophiles and murders and abusers out there that live until they're 100, but people who are struggling and doing their damndest to make changes in the world, die at such a young age. I just feel so bad for her son. He lost both parents in a matter of years and no child should have to go through losing one, letalone both.

I need to stop having a neverending source of deep empathy for everyone involved in something horrible or I'm going to be depressed for the rest of my life....
