Puppy!!!
YAY! Scott and I got our puppy! We are very happy to have her but she's having some trouble adjusting. However, we are positive that she is in a better home. I have no problem with crate training, if its done properly, now that I know what it is. But the people we got her from would lock her in her cage as punishment and it was OUTSIDE! She has no fur in patchy spots around her nose and the vet that we ran into at Petsmart said its most likely from Snickers trying to get out of the cage. Which is only ONE of the reasons we are frustrated. We also took her to the vet because there were NO SHOT records for her! So we took her to the vet, she has an ear infection AND a REALLY bad case of whipworms. The vet thinks that she probably was never taken to the vet, so she just got shots again since it doesn't cause any problems to have them reshot with vaccines. Snickers also starts puppy training Thursday and I need to call the vet and reschedule her spaying cuz I forgot about a show that we are going to see on the original date that I scheduled it. And on the 20th she is going back again to check on her ears, get a booster shot and see if the de-worming has worked. Scott and I are needless to say SUPER irritated at how Snickers was treated because she was obviously not taken care of but she is an 8 month old puppy and for not being trained, or really truly potty trained, she is very well behaved. She whimpers quite a lot, but only parks when Simba barks a lot. I just wish I understood her whimpering, sometimes its that she needs to go out and other times its that she is teething and it hurts so she needs to chew- other times she just seems to want to get away from Simba. But we are very happy we have her and are really excited about seeing how she grows and her behaviour changes as she realizes she is in a good place. :-)
Other things are that I finished Sarah's christmas present, and that is wrapped. I have the stocking part of Gypsy's stocking done, and most of Snickers's done also- then I have Simba's to do, the stitching on them, and the animal parts that go ontop,all of which will get done, it just is harder with a needy puppy :-) I also have been slacking on the reading I have but we'll see maybe i'll read for a bit then do more craftiness.
Other than that I really don't have much going on... I have some applications to do, so I'll go work on those for now.
