This week was almost wonderful, but the grand end was lost abruptly. Cheryl and I were supposed to be viewing a few movies, but instead I was stuck alone watching them because last night she was grounded, without me knowing before I decided to rent the movies.
The Great News
Lost some weight
Mom is being overly sweet?
Chocolate Milk is so good.
Learned much this week.
Was able to finally memorize the equation for photosynthesis.
Enjoying biology class while hating the teacher
Grades are super
No band practice today.
Watched "Dead Poet's Society" (GREAT movie)
Realized the importance of the poem Gather Ye Rosebuds while watching the movie.
This week in English we studied nothing but poetry (the only subject in literature I enjoy as much as lyrics and books themselves)
I rented Rosemary's Baby
"Gather Ye Rosebuds"
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.
The glorious lamp of heaven, the Sun,
The higher he's a-getting
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he's to setting.
That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;
Expect not the last and worst,
Time still succeeds the former.
Then be not coy, but use your time;
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime,
You may forever tarry.
