Family Drama!!!
Well,
I get a phone call back on saturday from my mother and she and my brother had a falling about about this woman he is dating. The woman is divorced with a child and ex military. My mom is pretty much a traditionalist which is why I am not OUT to the family. My mom would not have a problem with my coming out but my 79 year old church going grandmother would be the problem. I am thinking my brother has lost his mind and I basically drive over here to try to have him committed to the psycho hospital cause my mom has me thinking he has gone nuts!!!
I fly from Memphis to Little Rock down I-40. Thinking how do I mention this to my mother.
I see him when I arrive and we talk for 20 minutes in the driveway and I ask him all my questions and send him on off with his GF. I am thinking I almost had him arrested and institutionalized. What the Hell was I thinking. Is my mom crazy? It had been a rough time cause most of us are still grieving my fathers death from cancer on March 12, 2005.
I am just looking at the fact I had gotten so worked up over this that I was telling people I was going to have him put in a institution. I was wound up by my mother over really nothing. I said to him you have your protection and all and he said yes.
My mom thought I was coming friday night and I find out I took off Friday for nothing!!! I will be at the State Archives helping my sister do her school research for her instructors book on the Alice MacArthur murder from 1982. It was seen on A&E's City Confidential.
Anyway, I am glad the weekend will not be as bad as I thought it would be.
