Bebe Spartacus update...
A few pics have been added to the same album from my last post.
Basically our nearly one month old looks more like a 2 month old with amazing head control. He's still putting on about 2 ounces a DAY, and while we haven't measured him again recently, at his 2 week appt., he'd already grown by 1.5 pounds and 3 inches from birth. The doctor put him at above 95% for his age group (in size). But he ain't a fat baby at all.
He's been having a little trouble adjusting to digesting food and we think that we've tracked it to Mama's consumption of garlic, which is henceforth restricted.
One of the things I enjoy about little babies is their snorting while hungry and the way they laugh and smile in their sleep before they have any control over the reflex. Last night, he smiled at me while in my arms and while I know he's too young for it to be a voluntary thing, it was a precious precious moment.
Princess Nubbin is still handling him well and, in fact, relays her possessiveness of "my baby" to all her friends when they are out together and all the toddlers come over to ooh and ah at the 'baby'. Our problem is actually that she hugs him and wants to pick him up and can't possibly.
