And for you smart-asses out there (:::cough:::
aki :::cough:::), I'm not married or even engaged. =P
It was an excellent weekend, if I do say so myself. I spent quality time with
sawicki, ate well, and saw two shows I had been dying to see, "O" and "Avenue Q." I also gambled for the first time! Jeremy taught me how to play a poker variant called "Jacks or Better," and I won $9 overall. Not much I know, but I was only making $0.25 bets.
I'm not sure if Jeremy had intended to buy me a first class ticket, or if I got it because of my Elite status (which I have only just discovered), but I ended up in first class on the way back from Vegas. When I checked in, I punched in my Northwest frequent flier number and was asked if I was an Elite member. I said I didn't know, and the person behind the counter said that the computer said I was, so I got an "Elite" tag on my suitcase (so it would come out faster) and got "Elite" printed on my boarding pass (so I could get on the plane sooner if I wasn't already first class). I never knew the point of getting on the plane first, but now I know---you get free drinks! And alcoholic ones too. It didn't occur to me to ask for any, but after I heard someone else order red wine, I decided to have some with my dinner. Both the dinner and wine were decently tasty. And real silverware and glassware. Dude. I think I might be spoiled for life.
Okay, crunch time. The royal treatment has to come to an end sometime. There is Histo on Thursday and Anatomy on Monday. Eeep!
