Looking for good reading material
Well congratulate me! I think I just got fired from my job. O_O! And if I didn't, then I'm so quiting anyway because this is WAY too much stress for a 12 hour a week job! >:( GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Long story short, I'm depressed and want something to just drown out the real world. Could someone recomend a nice LONG fic that I can just be absorbed into and not come out of it for like a day? Any fandom at this point, I don't really care. Transformers, TMNT, Star Trek, ANYTHING at this point.
I'll start with some recommendations for you!
~*~TMNT~*~I've been into a TMNT kick lately due to my finding and re-reading THIS lovely fic:
Picking Up the Pieces by Sanru *THIS IS A COMPLETE FIC!
Summary: I can’t remember anything and nothing is making any sense. All I know is that I’m a giant mutant turtle and that there are other mutant turtles doing everything they can to keep me safe. Why are they so familiar, anyways?
BDQ'S Summary: It's an awesome fic that I'm sure many of you in TMNT have already read. It's all in Don's POV as he wakes up with no memory of who or even what he is nor any of his family. To make matters worse, for some reason everyone is speaking in gibberish! What's a genius Turtle to do? This isn't even T-cest or Romance at ALL but it's just a fantastic read! She started a sequal that was the exact same story but in everyone elses POV however it seems she had not only left the fandom but left the fanfic world all together
The funny thing is, right after reading this I got asked by our good friend quietthis/gemidonnie asked me if I would like to help with her fic Painted Dreams. My reaction was a huge YES! ((Also To QT/GD: I spoke to Kallipso and SHE said she's willing to help since Raph is her major favorite. So you have 2 people willing to help you hash it out and we think Anya is also go for this fic as well so that makes 3 if you really need it!)) This is the fic:
Painted Dreams Prologue by Gemidonnie aka quietthis
BDQ'S Summary: Very hard to explain without giving away the whole prologue. It's an awesome AU idea and she's still figuring out how to pair them off but it has such promise! Let us all turbopoke her for more!

This fic was recommended to me by GD/quietthis the other day and I'm a bit sad that I read it before the Work Day From Hell since it's just a fabulous read and had me laughing like there was no tomorrow!
Earn Our Wings by Iniku Dakishi
Summary: Although they appeared to be suited to a life on wheels, their sparks yearned for the open sky; the rush of the wind and the feeling of leaving everything behind.
BDQ'S Summary: A Lambo fic with the twins and Red Alert. Let's just say they weren't always Lamborghini's. :3
