Okay...false alarm. Power was up, but now it's not.
89% in my zipcode is out.
It's been trying to come on for two days, but I guess there's more problems than they thought.
Anyways, it's desperately disappointing to have it come up then cut out again....sort of cruel in a way, as by now the fourth day with no power and the post traumatic stress setting in from the ordeal of the storm, no ice, all the food gone....it's crappy.
But...
it sure as hell could be a lot worse, so no bitching here.
I don't want to sound spoiled or ungrateful...I'm so fucking happy to be alive and to have sustained so little damage!!
I'll post a detailed account with pictures when things get more normalized and I have power.
School has been cancelled til next week...no power there either.
So anyways...
