I'll be delighted to have a "Mind Fuck" I can finally carry around with me, but I noted that Casperian Books did say it was Volume 1. I am hopeful that the rest of TAS will follow soon. I worry a bit about the short stories and novellas that add so much to her world building but which might combine awkwardly for publication purposes.

The very best of all Mannaesque worlds would be the publication of all TAS, with new bridging material as needed. One hopes. FanSee

Yeah, I don't know how that can be accomplished. The next "novella" length story after "Mind Fuck" is about 18 months after Mind Fuck, when Carnac comes to I&I (did you notice Manna has changed the name of that story from "Strategies" to "Game, Set"?), and that bypasses so many great stories that show how Warrick and Toreth's relationship develops from being nothing more than a semi-regular Friday fuck at a hotel, to something more (Pancakes, Surprises, Playing With Fire, Shopping and Fucking, Without the Game, Smoke and Cameras, Sundays, etc); stories that give us info about their respective backgrounds (Family, Gee, Helen, Then and Now, Caged, etc); and stories that introduce and develop important and/or recurring characters like Sara, Dillian and Cele. (Fridays, Pool School, Control, etc ( ... )

Cat, I would direct you to Manna's announcement on Mannazone and Mannazone News:

"Assuming that sales are good enough, then the rest of the series will follow Mind Fuck into print."

That means all the rest of the series. Hee!

And re: Carnac being the hero of the series, well...he is. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he isn't.

Cat darlin' thank you for the heads up! This is exciting. I love this series so much would be nice to have it in book form. I will be ordering. I never got it together to print it out. I just go to the site and read a chapter or two once and a while.

Big hug, Cindy

Hello Cindy!

Glad you enjoyed TAS. And reading it on line is probably the way to go - it's hundreds and hundreds of pages if you print it all out, even double sided. I store it in large folders in a file cabinet, but it's still inconvenient to carry around and a pain to read (the longest stories have to be divided into sections, and the binder clips still want to slide off when you get near the later part of the bound section). So, having them in book form is going to be great. Hopefully Mind Fuck will be just be the first, and the entire series will be published. If not, I'm going to have to have a copy bound or something, just for reading convenience.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

I saved the first part..."Mind fuck, am I right...on my harddrive and intend to start reading, soon. You talked loud enough to give it a try.

I have the feeling the more I extend my flist in a certain direction the more my mind is going to expand. That is good. Everyone needs food for brain.

You'll enjoy it. And Mind Fuck is really the tip of the ice berg. It's really Pancakes that begins the shift in Toreth and Warrick's relationship, and then it goes from there. I envy people who have the pleasure of reading it all for the first time. I remember when I got to the point where I only had about four stories to go, and I stopped reading and went back and reread some of the earlier stories, just to prolong the pleasure.

(By the way, the icon is how I envision Toreth, lol! But of course Toreth doesn't play soccer!)

Well...it will be next on my reading list. You have already given me a very good rec, so I trust you. RE: Icon Is that David Beckham? Looks like him.

Yep, that's the seriously hot Beckham. I don't necessarily think of Toreth when I see Beckham, but there are just a lot of pictures of Beckham that remind me of Toreth - he has that clean cut blue-eyed, blond, hard bodied look, and pictures of him capture his boyish, mischievous grins, as well as that tough, intense, almost cruel look that I imagine Toreth often has. It's just pretty close to how I see Toreth in my head.

Warrick is a lot harder to imagine. He's described as shorter than Toreth, with very pale skin, dark hair, dark brown eyes, "too much nose," and a beautiful mouth (that draws Toreth's attention from the first time he sees him). Although he is clearly 100% Anglo-Saxon, for some reason I tend to imagine Warrick as being Iraian or Indian, and most often envision him as a fair skinned, slightly more handsome Reza Aslan (because I think Reza is pretty damned hot already).

Hey, he might like it! Certainly a step up from QAF!

Wonder what Sam would think?

Well, as we've already established, BR doesn't really read QAF fanfiction, he has only read some of mine and a few other pieces by friends of his. His reading tastes are very different. He may like TAS as he likes that type of futuristic story, with layers upon layers. The other aspect? We shall see.....
