School Kittens
Second week of school!
I started library check out today, but only had one class. This is my first year ever I am not in the library full time. (Had I known this before school started I would have possibly changed schools.) I only have 2 hours in the morning to rush 6 classes in and out of the library. The rest of the day I am supposed to teach small literacy groups, but they haven't told me any more than that. So I have been trying to get the cataloging and book repairing done while I can.
I am kinda looking forward to getting to teach again. Even though it's with 4-6 grades and I have only worked with K-3. NOT looking forward to only having 45 minutes at the end of the day to shelve books. I can already see the library will be trashed after a couple weeks. AND there is no time to have 5th grade helpers this year. GUH, I have to figure something out.
Today was the first day of kindergarten and I have to do kinder lunch duty and dismissal. I missed walking home with the older kids because it took forever getting the kinders on buses. It was exactly like herding cats today. Ever try to teach 20 cats to stand in a straight line?
