(no subject)
ditching class today because i'm sick. not really like on my deathbed sick, but sick enough that i don't feel like doing anything at all.
i had a major crisis (ok, not that major) last monday. i though it would be a wonderful idea to go out and buy a box of hair dye. after all, they are cheap and if i could find a color that i liked then i could just keep buying the box and not have to pay tons of money going to the salon. ha! was i ever wrong. i picked out a nice light brown color of natural insticts and went home and proceeded to dye my hair. well, 15 minutes later my hair was a night light brown color...except my blonde highlights. they were an absolutely horrid shade of hunter orange. now, i'm not against bright hair colors and i probably would have kept it except for the fact that my roots that i was trying to fix were even more apparent and the orange apparently didn't go on evenly so it was really splotchy. :(
well, the next day i grabbed a hat and went out to get it fixed. luckily, the crisis is now over and my hair is a really dark auburn (reddish brown) color. it's a lot redder that i would pick for myself but it actually looks good. phew! so in the end, it all turned out well. hoorah!
school is still good, but i haven't learn a thing yet. i'm making a sculpture out of forks and a toaster and we've been making magazine collages in graphic design. fun, but not exactly taxing. and really not fun to pay tons of money to do. but i guess i don't really have a choice. got to get that stupid piece of paper so that i can.... well, have a piece of paper. i won't get the perfect job because of it (my current position will help me way more than that) and i won't make more money because of it (#1 - we're too cheap and #2 - i don't actually think that they realized i didn't have a degree until after they hired me).
on friday the lighthouse is having an 80's party. i've got a ton of good outfit elements to wear, i'm just not real sure how to put them all together yet. i guess i could figure that one out today.
nate's birthday is also on friday. i suppose i'd better go buy his presents today too.
ho hum. i CAN'T WAIT until it snows!!!! it's getting colder.....soon, very soon.....
