I've reflected on the past year, after quite the hiatus from livejournal, and all I can say is I'm blessed. So many good things happened this year, the best memories of my life. A few sucky or outright terrible things happened along the way... some showed me life isn't perfect and keep me fighting, others were lessons and disguised blessings. In this year, I had my greatest joy and also my greatest loss of faith (besides September 11). I had to get myself so wrapped up and harshly thrust out of my comfort zone to understand how much I had lost the happiness in myself. Losing that safety net and joining band, I actually became more myself, and people have told me I'm so much more relaxed and peaceful and fun-loving. My goals for next year are to love unabashedly without settling, to put my physical health in priority, to find a method of destressing that prevents my latent stress from showing up physically, to push myself in school without taking myself too seriously, and to continue to be myself.
I'm up for the challenge.
