i'm so happy. it was a great way to end the regular season of senior year !!!!!
last home game v. solomon schechter: 4-1
we faltered a little, but we had a great win to show to our fans that we could win. last game: 25-7!!!!!!! we actually put in both subs at once, because we wanted to be merciful! not that the subs aren't awesome, but its just a respectful coaching technique when one team is slaughtering the other =x
i had two serving rallies (is that the right word?): basically, i was on a roll. i usually get my serve over, but i almost never get to serve a second time- we lose the point. that day, i served about 5 times straight in both games, really giving us the edge when we were behind or clinching the win.
the dinner afterwards was great, we all had fun (and the food was delicious!). i seriously loveeeee this team this year, we're just awesome.
last regular season game @ alexander hamilton: 3-0, with two close wins (25-23, 25-14, 27-25)
a good portion of the team was definitely pessimistic, and there were attitude problems- that was basically because we just didn't play THAT well. obviously, hamilton is frustrating to begin with because they're so loud and kinda hostile, but getting down on the team made things worse.
so why was this the best game of the season, you ask? mwahahaha. =)
third game, it's 24-15. who's up to serve? oh, of course: it's ME.
well, ya know, there's like... NOOO way possible to win this.

i got nine serves in a row! most points were hamilton errors but a few we had to fight out. eventually on the tenth serve we didn't win the point, but we got it back so christina could serve. she did so awesome, with an excellent serve... and then hamilton KEPT hitting it back to her during the volley! she passed it at least 5 times off of hits. i was so proud of her!!
due to an extremely well placed hit, which dropped way in front of me (there was no physical way to dive that quick) and i guess behind or between sarah and julie, hamilton won. which, i guess, is good, since it was their senior game. that's always nice to remember.
but at least we gave hamilton hell, and i proved myself and totally owned with serves during my last hurrah as a varsity player! well, we've got playoffs against haldane, but this was the last regular season game, its essentially over.
which surprisingly, i'm not sad about yet. i think i'm just too pleased to think about it being over. i hope i'm not too sad after our playoffs. that would be a terrible way to end the season. oh gosh, lets not think about that. i'm looking forward to another week of practice, and i just can't get down during my last game. i need to have fun. we can play respectably against haldane, they've got good placement but we can at least get 25-15. we got at least 25-10 the last time, i think even more. we're too good to go down without a fight- that's why we opted into playoffs.
