Aunt Betty might be old and racist and homophobic... but she's no-body's fool. I took her grocery shopping today and then we went out for lunch and back to her house afterward to watch the cooking network. It's not a bad match; she's lonely, I'm.. I don't really know, and we both distrust/dislike mostly everyone else. She wants me to move in with her for the summer. If it wasn't for my new mattress and the internet here, it wouldn't be a problem to me. It would be better for her to have someone to keep her company and help around the house. She wouldn't have to worry about my grandfather coming over and yelling at her. I'm not even sure what his problem is, but he has an issue with everything she does, which isn't much. I'd be better off myself- assuming that my parents wouldn't take my car, stop paying for health-care, and college, still expect me to come home to clean the bathrooms, do dishes, laundry, take out the dog... If I believed for a minute that they wouldn't pull that kind of shit, I'd think about relocating. I seriously doubt it.
My Aunt thought all B's wasn't bad at all. She said my mom wasn't exactly a shining star in school, not to mention that she hasn't used her degree a day in her life. And my father was spoiled; he never had to pay a dime for his college, never had to pay back student loans, and now he doesn't want to do anything for anyone but himself. She said my grandmother didn't want my dad to have a job so he would have more time to study, which he spent partying anyway. She was pissed that he won't let Ally get a job anywhere he would have to drive her (duh) and that he won't think about getting a summer job either. She has no idea how I ever managed to make it out as relatively sane as I am. I'm not sure, either. Nor am I sure that I am sane...
