news on houston real estate
my house was just sold. argh. i dont know if this means i have to move yet, and i guess i will learn more from my new landlord. in a way it's a good thing. my current landlord pisses me off by stopping by unannounced every couple of weeks. he just pops by and rings the doorbell and tells me some minor detail about the house that he could have told me over the phone, while poking his nose into the house and checking in. i hate it. it's not like he doesnt have a cell, as evidenced right now as he's standing on my front stoop talking on it.
but the point of this post is-- according to my landlord, the allen house apartments are being torn down and developers are building an "URBAN VILLAGE". that sounds like satan-talk to me. the urban village is going to have -
ahhh my landlord just knocked my my door and then told me to leave the house for 5 minutes so he can show the new owner around. isn't this illegal or something? but im back. so the urban village will have condos, shopping, restaurants, etc all in one massive complex. midtown is spreading like the syph in a 1700-era french brothel.
in other news, i am still moving to BA. just 3 months left, and I am so excited. i need to get my WITS dates finalized so i can get plane tickets. but i have already put a down payment on some housing stuff, so it's for sure happening. i would love it if any of my friends who read this could come visit the "seductive port city" of argentina.
