So I've decided to get a blog as well...

(OOC: Yup, I'm bandwagoning here. Keep an eye out for the "IC Blog" tag in the future! (Then again, Germany sounds different enough from my normal typing that I think you'll figure it out if you miss it/I forget the tag. By the way, please tell me if this color scheme is eye rape. X_X I tried to go for a German flag color scheme, but that I don't know if it works... Any suggestions?)

I saw that my brother and Romano had both gotten LiveJournals, and so I decided to get one as well. I had a bit of trouble with the coding at first, but I guess what came out was satisfactory. It's got my colors on it, after all.

Today was the 19th anniversary of the Reunification of Germany (Well, by now, it was yesterday, but that's beside the point), so I decided to take the day off and just relax with my brother a bit. It was a pretty nice day, all things considered. Really, Sweden, was it necessary for you to sic Hana-Tamago on Gilbert? That looked painful...

And then there was the whole "beer treat" fiasco. For some reason, Estonia thought it would be a wonderful idea to make us do a kind of "wife-carrying race" where Gilbert had to carry me to a rather arbitrarily defined "finish line" in order to get a few bags of those strange "beer treats" he's always gorging himself on these days. Well, his attempt to carry me failed spectacularly. No, I'm sorry, that's not correct. It was actually hijacked by Sweden, who somehow picked up BOTH of us and dropped us on the finish line (I'm still completely baffled as to how that worked). In the end, I ended up carrying him instead. He's a lot heavier than he looks, but I had very little trouble making it to the finish line. Gilbert was a little grumpy at first because he didn't really "win" (although I fail to see how any outcome could have counted as a "win," given how silly the entire situation was), and he was still grouchy when I offered him the treats I'd "won." He cheered up after a while, though. I was serious, Gilbert. I really did plan to give those to you all along. They're alright, but they're not really my favorites, so they go to you.

Right... it's been a long day and a rather interesting one, and I think I ought to get some sleep myself. And yes, in case you're wondering, Gilbert's snoring can in fact be heard from the basement. I'm used to it by now, especially since I've heard I'm not so quiet when I sleep, either. However, if I find Romano in the basement when I wake up especially if I find out that something's been going on down there all night... well, let's put it this way. I don't like it when things are out of place. When I'm hungover, I REALLY don't like it when things are out of place. I think that's fairly self explanatory.

If I'm not feeling too trashy tomorrow, I might make pancakes. I think Gilbert passed his craving of them onto me. But I think we've only got enough maple syrup left for tomorrow, so Gilbert gets an assignment: go pester Canada for more after breakfast. He always gives you some whenever you drop by, so I think you understand why I'm relegating that task to you.

Well, that's all for now. Check back for future updates to my blog, although I don't think I'll update as frequently or have as much to say as my jabberjaw brother.
