Music to RP to! (Upcoming FST?)
Hey hey hey guys!
So, you may or may not have seen, but I wanna make an FST (fan soundtrack blah blah blah) with themes for all the characters!
Most of this stuff would be their battle themes if they were in a video game (as usual). I'm thinking of a Tales-of series-esque RPG (I can see them running around in circles free-run style to some of this music). If I say "party leader," I'm referring to the character you'd be controlling. I'm in RPG mode today, amongst other modes. XD
So, here's a "list" and my suggestions for which character/scene they'd go with.
Still Winter- Crow's Claw This song... I was thinking of having this be Denmark's theme (you know, what with it being cold-ish up there and all). It's energetic, yet aggressive. I think this already received an approval from Denmark already...
Corpse Voyage ~ Be of Good Cheer! -UI-70 Don't let the song's title fool you- this is a pretty upbeat song (and so is the original, but that's a tale for another time). I was thinking this would be a "random battle" BGM because I'm not sure who it would fit... It would probably go to the Allies because of aforementioned upbeat nature. Maybe even to America. Not sure why, though.
Hibernation Sickness- Crow's Claw This would probably go to Sweden or another cool-headed character. Relatively mellow rock.
Twin Crescent- Crow's Claw I'm not entirely sure who this would go to. Was considering Germany for its relative mellowness. Kinda. Suggestions, please?
Immortal Madness- Crow's Claw You will immediately recognize this as OMG OMG OMG the song from the trailer! I wanted it to be Prussia's theme, too. And not just for the AWESOME- the title fits, because Prussia's still alive and kicking long after his country is gone (and... let's face it, he's nuts but we love him for that). Also, the girl in the picture (whose theme this originally was) was a fellow fire-user. Short on time, more details later.
Crossfire Barrage- Crow's Claw Another possible theme for Germany. I'm kind of stuck on themes for him...
UPDATE: Some more than I'd really, really like on the FST, but can't quite align with a character (unless otherwise stated).
Voyage 1969- ZUN The piano work on this song is SPECTACULAR. However, ZUN's synths are very much an acquired tasted, and I can't find an arrange that's just piano and that keeps the same tempo as the original. I almost wanted to use this for Austria, but again... synths/tempo problem. (I'm pretty sure he'd call the non-piano bits earrapingly awful. XD;)
The Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field- Oriens Orchestral remix! This one is just... epic.
Bloom Nobly, Cherry Blossoms of Sumizome ~ Border of Life- Oriens Another orchestral remix that I can't place. I like this one more than Suwa Foughten Field, even.
Eclipsed- Crow's Claw This version of this particular song has good energy... but there's another version I like better.
Ghostly Eyes- Demetori Different arrangement of the above song. While this one isn't as much of a battle theme, I like it more.
Septette for a Dead Princess- Crow's Claw Epic, epic rock, right here. It's a shame I can't place it...
