(no subject)
The gate outside is annoying me.
Well, actually, it's not the gate itself. The gate itself is perfectly normal. You know, between two posts, iron, just like every other gate on the street.
Thing is, every other gate on the street has either fence, hedge or in one case stone wall sandwiching it. Like gates do, see? And ours doesn't. The hedge was cut down about a week ago. Parents say they're going to have a new shiny fence up "pretty soon", but they've been saying something to that effect since we moved in and we've been living here for just over a year. Still haven't unpacked everything, there's loads of cardboard boxes in the spare bedroom, but that's not the point.
Meanwhile, the effect we have out front is a phantom gate. Just a gate, standing on its own in the middle of the pavement. I tried going through it earlier, and it miraculously didn't transport me to an alternate universe.
It's still annoying.

Anyway, the tournament in Avoria going on right now is a bit too big to be called a "mini-event", isn't it? It's kind of fun, whatever you want to call it! And this pair-up turned out pretty convenient, even if half the fight was overshadowed by the angst angst angst. Maybe I'm just really sad, but I've been wanting to log a Renamon (or any other Tamers partner) Card Slash for the longest time, and that opportunity was just perfect. ♥ I like the image of Guilmon going "KOYOUSETSU!" in mid-air, okay.
Personally, though? I'm rooting for Yuuko. Not just because I got up-to-date with xxxHolic a few days ago, either. I just can't imagine her getting pulverised by anybody.
